Fyal keeps the books of a Spanish freelancer: invoices, expenses, VAT, income tax and the quarterly instalment, with projects and clients alongside. This documentation explains every screen and, where it helps, lets you try it right here.

What Fyal is, in a minute#

Fyal is a web app (and a Mac app that wraps it) for running a freelance business in Spain. It stores what you invoice and what you spend, and from that works out what matters each quarter: the VAT to pay, the estimated income tax (IRPF) for the year and the quarterly instalment (Modelo 130 or its regional equivalent), following the rules of your tax authority — common territory, Bizkaia, Álava, Gipuzkoa or Navarre.

Around that sits what you need to work: projects with tasks, hours and budget; clients with their history; a library of resources; and PDF and CSV export for your accountant.

How to use these docs#

Each section matches a page of the app, in the same order as the sidebar.
Blocks marked with a green dot are interactive demos: faithful mock-ups of the app with made-up data. Play with them; they never touch your account.
