Clients
Who you invoice. A client in Fyal is little more than a name, but that name ties together their invoices and projects, and from there come their history and the income concentration.
The list#
At the top, three figures: Total invoiced (all years), Outstanding and Active clients (those with at least one invoice). Below, a card per client with what's been invoiced, the number of invoices and of projects. The search box filters by name and the cards are reordered by dragging.
Right-click on a card: open or delete (with Undo). Deleting a client doesn't delete their invoices: they keep the name as is, with no card behind it.
Creating a client#
Two ways, and the second is the usual one:
- New client, on the Clients page: asks for the name and creates the card.
- From an invoice or a project: the Client field is a picker that searches as you type and, if there's no match, offers “+ Create ‘what you typed’”. It's created and selected without leaving the form.
The client page#
Opening a client shows their name, email, phone and notes, all edited in place (Enter saves, Esc discards). Below, their invoices sorted by date, with status, and their projects.
One name, one tax IDWhen importing invoices, the AI also reads the client's tax ID and Fyal uses it to avoid duplicates: it looks up by tax ID first, then by name. If the name already exists with a different tax ID, the import stops — “‘Name’ already exists with another tax ID” — for you to check; usually it's the same client with the number misread.
