Export

What you need to hand your accountant, or keep for yourself, comes out of here. The Export button sits in the Overview header.

Tax report as PDF#

A document meant to be read: a cover with the period, the four figures, VAT per quarter, the year's income tax with the instalment (and the 130 exemption note if it applies to you), totals by VAT rate, expenses by category, client concentration, and the full invoice and expense tables for the period.

You choose the year and the period: the whole year or a quarter. With a quarter, the tables and the VAT stick to it; income tax and the 130, being annual, are still computed on the year.

The PDF carries a legal note at the foot: it's an indicative summary generated from your data, not an official document nor tax advice. The same goes for the whole app.

CSV for spreadsheets#

It's what an accountant really wants: something that opens in Excel. Fyal produces two files, one of invoices and one of expenses, because they have different columns and mixing them forces you to separate them by hand. Always for the whole year.

They're prepared so Spanish Excel opens them right first time: “;” separator, comma decimals and a BOM at the start (without it accents come out broken). Invoice columns: number, date, client, currency, exchange rate, base in euros, VAT %, VAT, IRPF %, IRPF, total and status. Expense columns: number, date, supplier, tax ID, categories, type, currency, exchange rate, base, VAT %, deductible VAT, IRPF %, IRPF and total. Depreciation quotas from earlier years go in the expenses file, marked “Depreciation {year}”.

If the year has nothing, the button says so instead of downloading an empty file.

Withholding certificates#

A PDF with one certificate per supplier you withheld IRPF from during the year. It's generated from the third-party withholdings block on the Overview, not from Export.

Where it's saved#

  • In the browser: a normal download, to your downloads folder.
  • In the Mac app: the system “Save as…” dialog opens for each file and you choose where. For the CSV it's two dialogs in a row; cancelling the first cancels the second too.
