Resources

A library for what you look up while working: the tax office guide, a supplier's site, the link to your bank, a design reference. No folders: tags, search and the important ones pinned at the top.

Saving a resource#

The quick way: paste a link in the bar at the top and press Enter. Fyal saves the address, its domain as a reference and a title. If you type text instead of a link, it's saved as a resource with that name — a note, a figure you want to hand.

“New resource” opens the full form: name, link, description and tags. Any resource can be edited later from its menu.

Tags#

Tags are yours: they're created by typing in “New tag…” while editing a resource, and reused from then on. At the top, the “All tags” filter shows a single tag. A tag is deleted from the filter itself; the notice tells you how many resources it affects.

Pinning#

Hovering a resource reveals a star; pressing it pins the resource. A pinned resource always goes first, ahead of the date order, with the star in yellow. It's for the three or four you open every day.

Views#

  • Cards: name, domain and description; easy to recognise at a glance.
  • List: one row per resource with the domain and the date it was added; handy when there are many.

In both, the search box filters by name, domain and description, and “Open link” opens the page in a new tab (in the Mac app, in your browser).
